Welcome to the Education & Development section of Emergency Doctors Medical Service.
EDMS is a provider of professional, high quality emergency healthcare regulated by the Care Quality Commission. We are an independent organisation set up and managed by registered health care professionals, led by senior doctors and clinicians with specific training, qualifications and experience in the provision of medical care for large crowds and events, special projects and in the provision of on site, on scene critical care services.
Our Education & Development section is led by Jamie Spencer, our Director of Education & Development, and all of our training is designed by and delivered by qualified and experienced trainers. Specifically, we insist that our trainers are also practitioners so they regularly form part of the operational team at the events we cover. This ensures we teach what we know works and, not only do you learn a great deal of practical skill on our courses, our trainers can really share with you and help you deal with how it feels to deliver care for people suffering from some quite acute conditions. With our training you will be properly prepared.
EDMS brings with it a credible reputation in the event industry with a portfolio of all types of event and clients. We are suppliers to the NHS, to local authorities and to high end event producers. However, it does not stop there! EDMS can provide medical cover for all types of event no matter how large or small. Our standards of clinical care, leadership, governance and operation are unrivalled in the private sector and our aim is to provide a robust service to reduce impact on NHS resources, to enhance the care of event attenders and to work closely with the client to make events safe through the provision of professional medical care.
It is our aim to provide an equally unrivalled standard of Education and Development that far exceeds legislative requirement and gives our clients the confidence that, not only have you met the standards you need to operate within guidelines, your staff are properly equipped to deal with issues at work either in their entirety or until they can be handed on to more qualified teams. Our training is designed to exceed HSE standards giving your staff more capability than other providers can. We will design scenarios around your teams’ work activities to make sure the training is real for the roles your people will be carrying out.
Our Education & Development portfolio is always growing but please enquire to find out about the catalogue of courses we already deliver. Additionally, we can design training to meet your needs. Our Education & Development section has the capability to design bespoke training to fit in with your workers’ busy schedules whilst hitting the objectives you need to achieve.
